| A. R. Weldtech award is given for the first, second and third best paper presented by Students in the areas of welding during National Welding Seminar or International Event. |

| Evaluation Criteria |
| This award is given to the best three papers presented by regular research scholars pursuing BE/B.Tech/MS/M.Tech or PhD in any one of the academic Institutions. Scholars who have registered for degrees while working (like faculty from academic institutions or employees from research Institutes) are not eligible. Similarly research scholars who have received provisional certificates for their degree are also not eligible. The paper should have been presented by the student and only the student receives the prize amount; not the co-authors. |

| Evaluation Procedure |
- Chairman of the session, two senior members of the audience in the session evaluates the paper
- Technical committee of NWS / IC takes the responsibility of identifying the judges and ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate for the award
- Results are normalised based on judge’s average, session average and total average
- It is possible a student can receive both D&H Secheron and A R Weldtech Research Scholars Award

Award: The winners of this award receive a sum of Rs. 3000.00, the first runner-up will receive
a sum of Rs. 2000.00 and the second runner-up will receive a sum of Rs. 1000.00. The winner also receive a certificate. |
