  Don Bosco Maritime Academy (DBMA)  
  Don Bosco Maritime Academy (DBMA) was established in 1998 by Salesian Society of Don Bosco, a worldwide charitable Trust / Society committed to upliftment of the poor through Technical Education. DBMA has been originally set up to train prospective and serving seagoing personnel, as per the International Convention of International Maritime Organisation (IMO). At it’s helm (since inception) is Principal G. A. Soman. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engg. from I.I.T., Powai, Mumbai, & a certified Marine Chief Engineer. Mr. Soman has a Sailing & Ship Repair Yard experience spanning 2 decades.  
     
 
Over the years DBMA has diversified into conducting training in all kinds engineering trades & disciplines.
 
 
At DBMA, we are committed to producing Engineers & Technicians who will be among the best in the industry. Since it is not the profit motive that drives us, we are able to plough back surplus funds into growth and development on all fronts - academic, technological and professional.

Our driving ambition is to make sure that our trainees turn out to be excellently trained, competent and committed engineers and technicians.
