M. E. (Welding Technolgy) course sponsored by L&T at M. S. University of Baroda

Revised Admission Procedure (27.7.2009)

As per Govt. of Gujarat notification dated 22-7-2009, the admission to the M. E. Course in Welding Technology, sponsored by Larsen & Toubro, has now been exempted from centralized admission. Admission to this programme will therefore be made by M. S. University of Baroda as per the usual procedure (as followed hitherto).

All students who passed out of the B.E. programme in Metallurgy, Mechanical/ Production Engg. or Mechatronics with minimum 55% aggregate, including those who took the Common Entrance Test at L.D. College of Engg., Ahmedabad on 19.7.2009 (as per previous notification), can therefore take advantage of the exemption and can now apply afresh to M. S. University.

The application forms are available at the Dept. of Metallurgical & Materials Engg., M. S. University of Baroda, Kala Bhavan, Vadodara – 390 001. Completed applications should be sent to the Dept. of Metallurgical & Matls. Engg. at the same above address so as to reach there on or before 10.8.2009. Selection interview (also for sponsorship) will be on 12.8.2009.

Details will also be available at M. S. University website (www.msubaroda.ac.in) and application forms can be downloaded therefrom. Please note that L&T will sponsor 6 candidates and ESAB India 2 candidates, with stipend equal to GATE Fellowship to those who clear their Test & eligibilty criteria. All applicants should report for an interview (including sponsorship test, etc.) on 12th August, 2009 at 9.00 a.m. at the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, M. S. University of Baroda. No separate letter will be issued calling applicants for interview. Please note that the selected students should arrange to pay the fees immediately. Regular classes will commence on 17th August, 2009.
