The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India vide their belowe Gazette notification have decided that the  Associate Membership Examinations, conducted by the  Indian Institute of Welding, Calcutta is to be treated as a recognised qualification for the purpose of employment under the Central Government to the posts and services for which Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the appropriate field is a prescribed qualification.

The course curriculum & syllable of the examination have been  designed for the Human Resource Development in the multidisciplinary field of welding engineering and Career opportunities besides incentives for persons in the profession.
