The Associate Membership Examinations, conducted by the Indian Institute of Welding, Calcutta is a recognized qualification for the purpose of employment under the Central Government to the posts and services for which Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the appropriate field is a prescribed qualification.
The Indian Institute of Welding is also the only National Body authorized by The INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF WELDING for promotion of professional qualifications of international standard in “Welding Technology” in India, through a number of Authorized Training Bodies being launched at various locations in India.
The Indian Institute of Welding has received the authority to award the following Diplomas:
International Welding Engineer (IWE)
International Welding Technologist (IWT)
International Welding Specialists (IWS)
International Welding Practitioners (IWP)
