Welding process is extensively used in the construction erection and maintenance of all types of power plants viz thermal nuclear hydro based and gas based with increasing requirement of energy in keeping with the high industrial growth a quantum jump in power generation is projected.

The conference aims to bring the specialists working in the frontier areas on to a common platform so as to share their knowledge and will focus on the role of welding in various stages of construction of an existing plant and also deliberate on the technological developments in the welding technology related to this field.
